StampOutPiracy.com was setup to help crack down on game piracy that takes place over the Internet. Large software companies are not the only ones who are affected by piracy. Small Independent Game Developers are also victim to this illegal activity.
Indie Developers are often a "one man band" who create fantastic games but see their work appear on a large number of warez sites which means that they're not getting paid for their hard work.
As Independent Game Developers ourselves we find that people see it as "ok" to download illegal pirate versions of games. We're here to help change that.
We will actively find any pirated games distributed across the
internet and take measures to ensure that the illegal website or the
offending files are removed. We will report our findings to the site
hosting the file(s) and the actual game companies/developers who are
affected.
How can you help?
